Fun at EWALU
EWALU is our annual fifth grade field trip. We spend three days and two nights at a camp located near Strawberry Point. Traditionally, this trip is scheduled for the Wednesday thru Friday after Labor Day. The fifth graders are chaperoned by teachers, parent volunteers, and high school helpers. A nurse and EWALU camp staff are also available.
We have a great time at camp! We canoe, fish, zip-line, hike, go on a hay ride, create plays, and many other activities. We also travel to a nature center and Effigy Mounds to do activities there.
In the evening, we sleep in the cabins on bunks. We also enjoy great meals and snacks in the dining hall.
It is a memorable trip that the students talk about all year long.
